A Trained Orofacial Myologist (TOM) is a Speech-Language Pathologist or dental professional who has successfully completed the Chatterton MyoProgram course and subsequent 12-month credentialing process. They have been trained to utilize the Chatterton MyoProgram (orofacial myofunctional disorder remediation program), the Rule of Thumb! (habit elimination program), Pre-Frenuloplasty protocol and Post-Frenuloplasty protocol. A TOM is a specialist in evaluating, diagnosing and remediating orofacial myofunctional disorders in children, teens and adults.
